Background

Leadership experience brought into financial advice

Eduard du Toit, Financial Adviser

Originally from South Africa, Eduard has built his life and career in New Zealand over many years. His background spans insurance, property development and senior governance, giving him a practical view of risk and long-term decision-making.

Before focusing on advice, he spent more than 15 years in leadership roles managing housing projects valued from about $2 million to more than $250 million across South Africa and New Zealand. That work involved risk, private equity, government complexity and stakeholder expectations.

He holds a BSc in Applied Science, a Postgraduate Diploma in Quantity Surveying and a Master’s in Governance and Leadership. His advice focuses on bringing structure and certainty to complex decisions, with protection built around each client’s goals, affordability and long-term resilience.

Client focus

Advice should be grounded in the client’s goals, circumstances and priorities.

Policies need reviews, and claims need support when life changes.

Certainty

The aim is to understand what is protected, why it matters and what needs attention next.

Before you get in touch

A few useful things to know before the first conversation

You do not need to arrive with a product in mind. Start with what has changed, what worries you or what you want to protect.

Do I need to know what insurance I need?

No. A first conversation can start with the situation and the financial risks you want to understand. The advice process should determine what is relevant.

Can you review policies I already have?

Yes. Existing cover can be reviewed before any decision is made about changing or adding policies.

Where are you based?

Eduard is based at 25 Mantra Road, Massey, Auckland 0614.

Where can I read the licensing and complaints information?

SHARE’s current disclosure explains licensing, advice scope, providers, fees, commissions, conflicts and the complaints process. It is linked in the footer of this website.
